Carole Marque-Bouaret

Clarinetist, singer, and Duduk player Carole Marque-Bouaret is a classically trained musician who became passionate about Turkish and Armenian music during her first trip in 2007. Since this time, she performed for two years with the Mendiliz group, and honed her skills in Turkey with with Turkish clarinetists Ramazan Sesler and Caner Malkoç , singing and saz with Mehmet Salih Ina–where she also made the deep link to her Armenian origins. She created the group Mahaleb from this journey in 2015, an eclectic trio bringing the Turkish and Armenian traditions and languages together that has graced stages in France and Turkey.
